✨ The Spark: The idea for these shorts came from observing how mainstream street apparel often treats utility pockets as an afterthought—making them purely functional but visually flat. I wanted to turn that design concept entirely on its head.

I envisioned taking a relaxed, everyday cargo style and transforming the pocket panels into the ultimate focal point of artistic display. Marrying the structured weight of hand-loomed Àṣọ-Òkè strips with flowing black fringe against a bold, gold printed cotton backdrop created the perfect balance: a comfortable staple that moves like a work of living art.
